Working Principle

The Millstorm Multimill works on high-speed cutting and impact. Material enters the milling chamber, where rotating knife and impact blades reduce its size against a perforated screen. Particles reaching the required size pass through the screen, while larger particles continue to be milled. Blade direction and screen selection can be adjusted according to the product and application.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What is a Multimill?

A Multimill is a high-speed size reduction machine used for granulating, pulverizing, shredding, milling and processing dry and wet materials across pharmaceutical, food, chemical, cosmetic and nutraceutical industries.

2. How does a Multimill work?

Rotating blades cut and impact material against a perforated screen. Material reaching the required size passes through the screen to produce uniform particle size.

3. What applications is a Multimill used for?

Size Reduction, Granulation, Pulverization, De-agglomeration, Wet Granulation, Dry Granulation, Particle Size Control and Mixing of Certain Materials.

4. Which industries use Multimills?

Pharmaceutical, Food Processing, Chemical, Nutraceutical, Cosmetic, Herbal Products, Agrochemical and Fine Chemical industries.

5. Which materials can be processed?

Pharmaceutical Granules, Herbs, Spices, Sugar, Salt, Dry Fruits, Protein Powder, Milk Powder, Starch, Food Ingredients, Chemical Powders, Detergent Raw Materials, Pigments, Resin and Fertilizers.

6. What is the production capacity of a Multimill?

Capacity depends on the model, screen size, product characteristics and required particle size. Standard machines typically process from 25 kg/hr to over 1,500 kg/hr.

7. What screen sizes are available?

Interchangeable perforated screens are available for different particle sizes, with screen hole diameters customizable according to the application.
